Shoalhaven Tourism is calling out for a second intake of locals to volunteer both in visitor centres and out in our beautiful region through the busy summer period and beyond. If you are a storyteller and keen to share your knowledge of the regions activities – then apply now to join the Mid-October training session. Full training provided – a great way to bolster your CV and give back to the community.
Become an Ambassador and represent the Shoalhaven Region to both Locals and Tourists. Your Ambassador Training will provide you will much needed skills to extoll the virtues of the Shoalhaven. You will become expertly skilled at Customer Service and be a valued Shoalhaven City Council Volunteer. Minimum shifts are 2 hours per week up to 35 hours per week, it’s your decision.
The Ambassadors will start their work in November 2017 and be finished by May 2018 and be located at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre – Visitors Information Area, Nowra CBD and Huskisson. Uniforms, training and refreshments will be provided. Please apply if you are easy going, people friendly, energetic, wanting to learn and share interesting facts about the Shoalhaven Region. Please prepare a resume, cover letter and two references. Applicants will need to apply for a Working with Children and Criminal Record Check.
